"kiss the rock"?
"Kiss the rock" sounds like a Buddhist saying. Actually, it's a phrase
taught to novice whitewater paddlers to remind them what to do if
they get pinned on an obstacle in a strong current: lean towards the
obstacle, not away from it.
I learned this phrase years ago and adopted it as my motto. To me,
"kiss the rock" means push yourself. Seek new challenges. Embrace your
fears. Live.
