"kiss the rock"?
"kiss the rock"?

"Kiss the rock" sounds like a Buddhist saying. Actually, it's a phrase taught to novice whitewater paddlers to remind them what to do if they get pinned on an obstacle in a strong current: lean towards the obstacle, not away from it.

I learned this phrase years ago and adopted it as my motto. To me, "kiss the rock" means push yourself. Seek new challenges. Embrace your fears. Live.

What my clients say
